Description
A rich, chocolatey homemade cappuccino mix made with instant coffee, powdered milk, cocoa powder, and cinnamon. Ready in 10 minutes, good for 6 months, and perfect as a gift for Christmas, teacher appreciation, or anyone who loves a cozy cup.
Ingredients
50 g (1.75 oz) instant coffee
250 g (2 cups) powdered milk (whole or skim)
3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
250 g (1¼ cups) sugar (or equivalent sweetener)
Instructions
- Blitz the instant coffee in a mini food processor or blender until it becomes a fine powder.
- Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Sift everything together into a second bowl. Repeat if any lumps remain.
- Transfer to an airtight jar. Label with the date and serving instructions: 2 dessert spoons per mug of boiling water.
Notes
Use unsweetened cocoa powder, not hot chocolate mix.
Blend the coffee fine — it makes a real difference in how smoothly the mix dissolves.
Always sift — it keeps the texture consistent throughout the jar.
Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months, respecting the individual expiry dates of each ingredient.
