Welcome to Mamy and Me—where every recipe tells a story, every kitchen mishap ends with laughter, and the occasional “ohoho” 😮.

We’re a mother-daughter food blog team who believe food is love, memory, and comfort—all simmered in one pot. Whether it’s a 10-minute weeknight lifesaver or a nostalgic dish pulled from Mamy’s old recipe box, our kitchen is a place for real meals made with heart (and usually a little mess… okay, sometimes a lot of mess!).
If you’re craving comfort, shortcuts that actually work, and recipes that bring people together, we’ve saved you a seat. Pull up a chair—let’s have some fun.
Who’s in the Kitchen?
I’m Fabi—the one who follows recipes like they’re sacred scrolls. Grocery list? Color-coded. Measuring cups? Always leveled. Mamy calls me an old lady when I fuss about her “just eyeballing” things mid-recipe. Honestly? It drives me a little nuts (but I love her for it).
I’m great with meats, salads, and anything that involves timers and technique… just don’t ask me to bake. Mamy’s cakes rise like magic. Mine? Let’s just say they *build character*.
And Mamy (her name’s Mary, but she’s always been my Mamy)? She keeps things flexible. To her, recipes are more like gentle suggestions. She’ll peek in the fridge, find a few things, and suddenly there’s a dish we can’t stop eating. Bread, cakes, anything doughy—that’s her zone. And when I panic over her changing things mid-step? She just laughs.
Together, we balance each other out. I bring structure, she brings “let’s see what happens.” We both adore pasta—and lately we’ve been trying more veggie dishes (thanks to my vegetarian sister) and even dabbling in gluten-free noodles. Every meal we make is part tradition, part experiment, and all heart.

We’re not trained chefs—just two home cooks who love food and laughter more than credentials.
Outside the kitchen, we wear many hats—but this blog is our happy place.
Why We Started Mamy and Me
There was no big aha moment. No dramatic backstory. We didn’t sit down with a plan to start a blog. We’ve just always cooked—sometimes together, sometimes not—and one day we thought, why not share a bit of it?
Our kitchen is where life happens. While something simmers or bakes, we talk—about everything and nothing. Trips we want to take, what to cook this weekend, who needs new shoes, whether we bought garlic or forgot it again. The conversation flows like a good sauce—slow, warm, and completely unforced.
We’re not here to teach gourmet techniques or post picture-perfect dishes. We’re here to share the food we actually make. The stuff that works when you’re tired, hungry, or just want something that feels like home. Some recipes are family favorites, others are happy accidents, and a few come from Mamy’s uncanny ability to “just know” what’s missing.
Mamy and Me isn’t about perfection. It’s about real food, real laughs, and those quiet, beautiful moments that happen when you’re just being yourself—with someone you love—over a pot of something good.
What You’ll Find in this mother-daughter food blog
“So, what exactly will you find on Mamy and Me?”
Simple, flavorful recipes that fit into real life.
Some are quick dinners I rely on again and again. Others are Mamy’s comforting classics that taste like childhood. A few were happy little accidents that turned out so well, I actually remembered to write them down.
You’ll find cozy meals with shortcuts, fresh dishes with a twist, and plenty of ideas for making the most of leftovers. Pasta? Always. Veggie-friendly options? More and more lately, thanks to my sister. And yes, we’re figuring out gluten-free pasta too—it’s a whole new adventure.
If it looks fancy, it’s still simple. If it sounds complicated, it’s not. And if it takes more than 30 minutes, you better believe it’s worth it.
So explore a little, try something new, and maybe stay for dessert—Mamy’s probably got a cake in the oven.
